Study with industry experts in six-month sessions to prepare for entry-level information technology jobs, industry certification or continued education. Each part-time program meets two nights a week and every other Saturday.
Samir Jha changed careers after earning IT Readiness certificates in back-end and mobile development. He turned his part-time passion into a full-time job as a senior associate developer with a cyber security consulting firm.
IT Readiness participants pay a reduced rate to take these certificate courses because of a $923,842 Regional Workforce Continuation Grant from the Arkansas Department of Higher Education. The original grant application identified information technology as a skills gap in Northwest Arkansas and proposed the IT Readiness program to help close that gap.
