Courses offered by U of A Professional and Workforce Development are non-credit and do not award academic or degree credit. This means they are not eligible for federal financial aid programs (Pell Grants, FSEOG, Federal Subsidized or Unsubsidized Loans, Perkins Loans, PLUS Loans, etc.). However, there are many funding options that may assist you in reaching your career training goals.
Reimagine Arkansas Workforce Project
The Reimagine Arkansas Workforce Project provides funding for qualifying individuals to complete online training at no cost to meet workforce needs across the state. Funding through this project is administered by U of A Professional and Workforce Development.
Financing and Payment Plans
Courses offered in partnership with Ed2Go or CCI may offer payment plans. To determine if the program you are interested in offers this option, please see the course website or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 855-402-3300.
Military Tuition Assistance and Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA)
Programs offered in partnership with Ed2Go may qualify for military benefits. The Armed Forces offers eligible military members, their dependents and veterans several program benefit options to support their educational goals. For active and actively drilling members, this includes up to $4500 in Tuition Assistance for college courses, vocational training, and certificate courses taken. Each service has its own criteria for eligibility, obligated service, application processes, and restrictions.
You may apply for a private loan from the lender of your choice. The application, approval, disbursement, and repayment information will be based on their policy.

Your community, church, professional, or civic organization may offer scholarship opportunities. Be sure to explore all options available to you.

Many employers provide professional development funding or reimbursement to their employees. Check with your employer to see if these opportunities are available and how to request them. It is also important to be prepared to explain how your training will benefit the organization.

Your Local Arkansas Workforce Center- Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Dislocated Worker Funding
The Arkansas Division of Workforce Services offers training funding to qualifying Arkansans who are underemployed or unemployed. Examples of eligible individuals who may seek WIOA funding include, but are not limited to displaced workers, unemployed adults, single parents, and youth ages 16-24. Interested individuals must apply through their local Arkansas Workforce Center. To find the Arkansas Workforce Center nearest you, see the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services website. Then contact your local Arkansas Workforce Center and let them know you wish to speak with a Career Advisor and apply for funding or a scholarship for training.
