Python Programming for Data Science 1

Getting Started with Python for Data Science

This certificate, the first in a three-certificate series, introduces Python and explains its role in many industries, including data science, engineering, finance, and software development. You will install Anaconda and set up a working environment, and get comfortable running Python code in both Jupyter and the REPL.

The lessons provide hands-on practice with core skills including writing print statements, loops, and control statements. You will learn 'if' statements and loop structures while developing good coding practices and understanding basic Python logic. By the end of the certificate, you will know how to create and organize Python projects that support future learning and practical use.

Python Programming for Data Science certificates must be taken in sequence.
Python Programming for Data Science 1 is the first certificate in the series. You will need to complete this certificate before proceeding to Python Programming for Data Science 2 or Python Programming for Data Science 3.
