Preceptor Training: Collaboration, Communication, and Socialization

Professional socialization is a vital component of preparing student nurses for the workforce. This course focuses on strategies for collaboration, effective communication, and fostering professional socialization. Participants will learn how to guide students in integrating into the nursing profession and team dynamics.

This is the last course in the Preceptor Training Program series. Taking all courses in sequence ensures a deeper understanding and greater effectiveness in the preceptor role.

Prior Learning

This noncredit course is best suited for staff nurses looking to upskill in their field. Additionally, to ensure success, students should:

  • Be comfortable reading and understanding English, as all materials are provided in English.
  • Have basic computer skills, including navigating the internet, downloading/uploading files, installing software, and using applications like Microsoft Word.
