
Homeland Security Specialist
This program is designed to prepare successful participants to work in various Homeland Security agencies at a local, state, or federal level. Specifically for those learners whose career-focus is in counterterrorism, counterintelligence, national security or government security, this program is a great way to examine new and different subject areas within this growing field. The program provides an overview of the elements involved in the homeland security function, as well as the challenges critical, infrastructure managers in government and industry can/will face.

Certification Opportunities
Homeland Security Specialist is not a state-regulated profession in the state of Arkansas. Law Enforcement Officers and Private Security Officers are licensed, regulated professions at the state level. This course does not prepare learners to become certified law enforcement or private security officers.
This course prepares learners to take an exam for a certification which can assist in gaining an entry-level position.
