Joan M. Smith, CPIM, CSCP
Joan is an experienced Supply Chain professional with over 25 years in various roles including warehousing, transportation, forecasting, inventory management and material planning. She also served as the Business Subject Matter Expert for a large SAP implementation representing the forecasting, planning and inventory areas. Joan has worked for companies such as Dow Chemical Company, SC Johnson and 3M.
Joan also spent time assisting in the development of an inventory optimization product for a start-up company. In 1993, Joan achieved certification with APICS CPIM, and she achieved the CSCP in 2013. Joan received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2007.
Joan has achieved the level of Associate Instructor in the APICS Instructor Development Program, having successfully completed a vigorous training program, and has been approved to teach both CPIM and CSCP classes. Currently, Joan is the Planning and Scheduling Manager for Rockline Industries in Springdale, where she leads a team of schedulers and planners responsible for the Springdale production facility.
